Map 1 of the Two Moors Way. This map covers the first half of the trail from Ivybridge to Downs St Mary via Holme, Widdecombe, Chagford, Castle Drogo and Drewsteignton.

Walking the Two Moors Way from Ivybridge to Chagford takes you through some of the most striking and varied scenery in Dartmoor National Park. Beginning in Ivybridge on the southern edge of the moor, the route quickly rises onto the open granite uplands, where sweeping views reveal tors, stone circles, and heather-covered hills. Walkers encounter remote and atmospheric landscapes such as Huntingdon Warren, Red Lake China Clay Works, and Widecombe-in-the-Moor, with its famous church tower, known as the "Cathedral of the Moor." The path crosses fast-flowing rivers like the Avon and the Dart, whose deep valleys and ancient clapper bridges add both beauty and challenge to the journey.

As the route continues north, it passes through the heart of Dartmoor, where wild ponies graze and skylarks call across the open sky. The landscape gradually softens with wooded valleys, winding lanes, and historic villages such as Postbridge and Lettaford, before descending toward Chagford, a charming market town on the edge of the Teign Valley. The walk blends solitude with rich history, revealing prehistoric remains, medieval farms, and timeless moorland scenery. It’s a journey that captures the spirit of Dartmoor – rugged, remote, and deeply rewarding for those on foot.

These maps use the ever-popular Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale mapping. They are laminated, so you can use them in the wet without fear of them disintegrating. Two maps cover the entire trail. 

As their name suggests, Zigzag maps come in a concertina strip format. The maps are made for convenience; you need only unfold 2 panels at a time and then keep on flipping over to follow the path. Zigzag is laminated for weatherproofing and will still fit a pocket when folded.

Maps come with a useful scale ruler.
