Cycling Land's End to John O'Groats

£ 16.95

Cycling Land's End to John O'Groats is a challenge that many aspire to at least once in their lifetime and this guidebook gives you everything you need to help you realise your goal.

The route sticks to quieter roads and traffic-free paths without too much meandering, to give an 'optimal' route of 1000 miles that can be comfortably ridden in 14 days.

The route is divided into 14 stages, with alternative schedules for those wanting to ride faster or slower, plus a choice of routes through central Scotland. It passes through a diverse range of landscapes ranging from virtually sea-level across the Somerset Levels to over 1400ft through the magnificent Cairngorm mountains.

The book is full of useful information including:

  • advice on getting you and your bike to the start and back from the end
  • load-lightening tips and advice on training
  • downloadable gpx files
  • listings of places to stop for repairs and refreshments
